ISO backup and restore your hard disk

Have you ever calculate the times that they have invested their operating systems? Well, personally, I can not remember the actual time that I have installed Windows for both work and private life. Let some raw numbers.

Honestly, I never enjoy through the process of installing an operating system goes. For those who know me, I'll probably in the progress bar during installation there as if I was very interested. However, I am actually very frustrated and hope that the progress bar could go as fast as could be.

In other words, create ISO images of the whole operating system back up data on your hard drive.

I use Hiren BootCD, all in a DOS bootable CD. One of the software is included with Norton Ghost, which can create disk images known as ISO.

ImgBurn

ImgBurn is a Windows programand it's free. The installation can create and burn ISO images or pictures on CD and DVD.

The difference between the two is that ImgBurn is installed as a Windows program to create and undeniably a great and simple tool for ISO images properly. However, if the disc is damaged, it will not be able to use ImgBurn if you have a dual boot. So you must use HirenBootCD and Norton Ghost to make your ISO image, extract the damaged hard driveHard disk.

The idea

Simple:

1. Perform an automatic or manual installation from CD or DVD on a machine

2. Install all the applications you need, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Co.

3. Perform operating system upgrades

After performing the above steps, the computer will boot from Hiren BootCD and you will see a picture of the types of software bundles to choose. Ghost select from the listand from there you can partition the image from disk.

The ISO file on your hard drive for easy access, but do not install the same drive that stores the operating system. If your computer does not load at startup or right, so you can Hiren BootCD, boot from the CD to pop, and restore the ISO file.

The practice

My practice is at least two partitions, namely C and D.

- The C drive is the drive on which I will install the operating systemSystem and programs

- Drive D is my document go to

- A copy of the ISO C drive can be created, stored in D drive

Benefit

The operating system is damaged will be affected and none of my document files when I have to be drawn into the ISO-drive C. Extracting ISO to the C drive will overwrite all data on drive C without notice. But after extracting the ISO, you get the same settings and operating system as soon as you build the ISO.

What ismore? You do not have to go through the process of entering the product key that you select the time zone, install the drivers and applications you use most frequently.
