Ha Long Bay covers an area of about 1,553 km2, including 1,960 islands, most of which are made of limestone. The heart of the bay has an area of high density of 775 334km2 islets.The limestone on this beach has gone through 500 million years of education in conditions and environments. The development of karst in this bay, took 20 million years under the influence of the humid tropical climate. The geographical diversity of the 'environment created in the area of biodiversity, including a tropicalBiosystem evergreen biosystem oceans and seas. Ha Long Bay is home to 14 endemic plant species and 60 species of endemic fauna.

Ha Long Bay, famous for its beautiful beaches, villages and historical heritage has been recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1994 and attracted more and more national and international visitors.
